How do updates work?

Two ways. You can sign into your dashboard any time and edit the text yourself — welcome line, about, menu blurbs — at no extra cost. And when you want a bigger change (new menu, rebrand, fresh look), a full redesign rebuilds the whole site for £20. There's nothing to install and no day-to-day upkeep for you — that stays with us.

How did you build a site for me before I signed up?

We find independent businesses that don't have a modern website and build a draft for them, using only public information about you (reviews, photos, hours from Google and similar). The site stays in preview mode, watermarked with our banner, until you claim it. If you don't want it, ignore the postcard and nothing happens.

Can I make changes myself?

Yes. Sign into your dashboard and you can edit the copy on any section — the welcome line, the about paragraph, your menu blurbs, the lot. Design, layout and the day-to-day upkeep stay on us; that's the whole point of the service. And the first draft is written from your real online presence (reviews, listings, your Google profile) — we've carefully tuned the software so it already sounds like you, not a template, so you're polishing rather than starting from a blank page. For bigger structural changes, the £20 redesign rebuilds the site from scratch.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes — that's the £20/year custom domain add-on. We point your domain (like yourbusiness.co.uk) at the site and handle DNS & SSL. Without it, you stay on a clean yourbusiness.locallaunch.uk subdomain that's perfectly fine to share with customers.

What does my £29.99 a month actually cover?

Hosting on UK infrastructure, SSL certificate renewal, daily security updates, real-human email support, and the dashboard you log into — where you can edit your own copy any time. A full redesign is an optional £20 one-off, only when you want one. No premium tier, no surprise bills.

What happens to my site if I cancel?

It comes down. Your subdomain becomes available again and we delete your data within 30 days. You can re-claim later if you change your mind, but we're upfront: this is a subscription service, not a one-off purchase.

Why is this so much cheaper than a freelance web designer?

Because the boring 80% — researching your business, writing first-draft copy, putting together a layout — is automated. We use that head-start to keep the price honest. A bespoke freelance site can be brilliant; it just isn't realistic on every high street, and someone still has to keep it updated. We solve a different problem.
